Hydrogen oxide is water. Hydrogen peroxide is H2O2.
While I have 30 or 40 semester hours of chemistry, I had never heard the
name hydrogen dioxide. However, the naming is consistent with other old
names which are not used much any more, such as, Chloride of Mercury and
bichloride of mercury (corossive sublimate, when I bought it as  kid to
treat potato scab).
K2MnO4 potassium manganate
KMnO4  potassium permanganate  for another example
