Shorten or omit messages.


I agree with the effort to shorten messages and omit the useless
messates

1. Make sure SUBJECT: line fits content

2. Omit Ha, Ha ... Great ... -- type replies; these "no content
messages" are useless.

3. Do not repeat the original text (that clutters the archive).

4. Include you e-address, name, and growing location in your signature
line. Many folks say "reply privately", but do not give their e-address.
Some ISPs provide the address of author, but none in Louisville area
does so because it is deleted before it gets to Louisville ISPs.

My computer is so full that it takes a long time to delete a message.
With 100-200 new messages per day, I can't keep up. There is also the
problem that the world-wide lines are clogged with volume.
