  Generally speaking, If your trying to determine what a new seed will throw 
for color, look to the male Pol. pumpkin. Color, most often, follows the 
color of the male pumpkin used to Pol. This info is strait from Danny Dill 
and has proved out in my patch. I'm not afraid to plant a Squash seed that 
had a good Orange male Pol. but I will not plant a seed from a beautiful 
Orange pumpkin that had a Squash for a father! OK Glen, I will if I want a 
Squash!
