I would be curious to know if you are boiling or baking the pumpkin before
putting it in the blender. The few times I boiled the pumpkin I got the
stringy watery mess described, but I baked my AG, an all day project let me
tell you. I got the smoothest,
most custard-like consistency I could have wished for. My only complaint was
that it
was a little light in color. Speaking for myself only, I am a pumpkin flavor
purist, I would
never contaminate a pumpkin pie with yams, but to each his own.
