Guys: I have trouble with this manure thing. I always have lived in the city. Anyway, when you say 3 or 4 or 5 yards that means cubic yards, right? How much is a cubic yard in bushel baskets? A cubic yard is what, around 1 !/2 bushels? Help me here. I can think in terms of bushels but not yards. Now when you add that manure don't you need to have some idea of the organic content of the soil? If the soil was 20% organic matter would you add manure? I would say no as I don't think it the soil should be more than 10% organic matter. I know there will be some disagreement by the organic growers. Let's hear it. Also, does it matter how long the manure has composted when you consider how much to add? Asking because I don't know. Marv in Altoona PA
