Hi Beth,
It wasn't till last year when Chris Andersen in Ca.. misted to keep his
plants cooler did anyone think that you could do what he did 977....perhaps
sun and mist rounded out to 80... It was always thought here in CA. that
you needed cooler temps and you had to live in Canada to pop a big
one..perhaps places in Canada have the ideal climate....perhaps in that
neck of the woods they are more experienced growers at this game.......here
in Cal. were just getting started there are maybe 50 very serious growers
here in all of California!!......and the further south I think is just
awakening to the sport.........I think that it is true for the southern
states its just being born.........but one thing i know is you need heat to
grow pumpkins not the scorcher heat thats in excess....... but the type if
we mist maybe will get that ideal 80 to 86........and of course all the
other variables have to be perfect.....if you want that killer
monster.....
