Re: seed storage
Hello!
Seed storage for all curcubits is easy. They will keep at least 5 years
if you store them in good condition. That means dry! Mold is the worst
thing I've seen cause by too much moisture. I dry my seeds on window
screens and keep moving them around and turning them once a day until
COMPLETELY dry. Then you can store them in a brown paper bag. The bag
let's them breath. Put the bag in a COOL, DRY , and rodent free place. I
keep mine in my office on top of a tall cabinet.
Now if anyone has a REALLY easy way to separate the pulp from the seeds
let ME know! I tried soaking them in warm water overnight but UGGGhhhh
what a mess. How does Howden and the big guys harvest and separate seed?
