When I was raised in Bucks County, Pa back
in the 50's, I recall my Grandpappy watering
his garden with what he called "egg shell
water". He would take dozens of egg shells
from the chicken coop and soak them in
5 gallon buckets of water for four or five days.
He watered his entire garden with this
brew...... and "wow" did he have fantastic crop
of everything. (Unfortunately he never grew
pumpkins).
I also recall my mom making the same
concoction in the 60's and watering her
houseplants with it......again, fantastic
results.
Has anyone tried this concoction ?
Is it good for pumpkins ?
Does it change the ph ?

Also, Grandpappy watered with
compost tea at regular intervals.
