systemics
Please correct me if I am wrong... I had the impression that systemics were
usually applied as a soil drench, so that they could be taken up by the
roots into the plant. But a spray on the leaves or stems would act more as
a topical pesticide.
Are there differences in the structures of these chemicals? Is a systemic
still absorbed by the plant no matter where or how you apply it??

Benomyl, cygon, isotox will enter every cell in the plant including the
pumpkin and stay there for several weeks thus you do not have to spray
entire plant. Much more effective if used in moderation. andrew
