Howard Developed the Dill's Atlantic Giant, was the world Champion and has
done as much as anyone to get people growing giant pumpkins. He gave me good
seeds and info in the early 80's to get me started. I would stop short though
in saying that he created the hobby of giant pumpkin growing. Giant pumpkin
contests were in full swing long before Howard was around.
