how to do a soil test?
In my few years of pumpkin growing I have never done a soil test. I have
only had a few hundred sq ft to use so I didn't feel the need to bother.
This year the local university has offered my a large plot next to a water
supply. I feel I really need to do a soil test but how does one go about
doing it. Where does one take the samples from? Should one amend with
compost first or with anything else? And after the tests, will extra
compost change the pH or nutrient levels much? Thanks for all your expert
advice in advance.
