Re: Top Proven Seeds For 2003

The 935 Lloyd and the 801.5 Stelts really stand out as parent
seeds. Almost half of the 101 known 1,000+ pounders have one
of these two seeds on the maternal side and another dozen have
one of these two on the paternal side.

These two together would seem to be a match made in heaven!!

It is interesting that there are NO 935(f) x 801.5(m) crosses
out there that I could find. I did find six 801.5(f) x 935(m)
crosses but none of them have been widely planted. The most
promising two are the 963 Stucker 2002 (a beautiful pumpkin)
and the 808 Kuhn 2000 which shows no offspring at all!

I think it is a crime that no one has tried the 808 Kuhn
especially since the pollinator plant was the mother to the
712.2 Kuhn one of the top producer seeds of all time!!! What's
up with that??

If I had an 808 Kuhn, I'd plant it for reasons more than just
curiosity.

hint, hint....
