I lost my Dad's ring by accident in the barn last fall. Bought a cheap
metal detector (it could only pick out metal if it is 1/2 inch from it
though). Now on hands and knees with a small garden fork scratched through
the manure pile. Boy was I happy when I found it after about 1 days work.
The rate I was going it would have taken me two weeks to get through the
whole area but I picked the little pile to go through first and lucked out.
The professionals in the phone book wanted $40 to come out and try to find
it with hopefully better equipment. Anyway where do you live? Want to
borrow my cheap metal detector?
