I dug out a hole 3' by 3' , about 3' deep. I backfield it 1/2 way , with
cow manure & leaves. I should say, when I dug the hole , the top 6" was top
soil & the bottom2 1/2' was all clay. With the ground being wet this time of
year, The hole filled completly with water by the next day. Once I completly
fill the hole with it's soil mixture will the water stop, or will it continue
to hold too much moisture. Possibly
setting myself up for root rot. this spot is on a slight grade and I could add
a drain tile if necessary . Any advise out there.
