Re: seed starting

Rockwool is a growing media that is used in Hydroponics to start seeds.
It is made from molten rock that is drawn into fibers just like fiberglass.
It is made in two types, absorbent and nonabsorbent. They are combined and
pressed into a cube that makes the starting cube.
It has to be adjusted for pH before you use it. This is done by letting
it soak in a soluble fertilizer solution for 24 hours.
I just pressed the seed down into the fibers after soaking the seed. It
sprouted in about 36 hours.

You can call Ohio Indoor Gardening @ 614-262-4769
I believe they have a 800 number but I cannot find it.
   Good Luck this year
