Hi, everybody!
Wanted to report having a delightful conversation with Joe Mills, aka Zoo-Doo.
He remains active in the giant pumpkin arena, although he will not grow this
year.
Instead, he is channelling his creative energy toward the SPGA web site and
newsletter. He plans to monitor everyone's progress through this list's digest
format, and will remain behind the scenes in a support role. He will also keep
tabs on SPGA weigh-off results, and will see that the Southern Cup gets to
it's rightful owner.
Joe certainly gets my kudos for a job well done last year. His creation of the
SPGA, the procurement of the Southern Cup and the magazine
publication/distribution was time and labor intensive. A true labor of love
for the "sport".
Joe predicts he will grow in the future, but this year he'll pass. Maybe next
year, who knows? With a bit of encouragement and some great seed.....
