The 10th Annual Keene Pumpkin Festival

This festival sets the Guinness World Record each
 year for "most
jack-o'-lanterns in one place at one time." The 1999
 record consisted
of 16,349 pumpkins. This year's goal is 20,000. Grab
 your pumpkin
and help set a world record.

Glenn,
My son goes to Keane State. Each one of the 20,000 jack o' lanterns are
lit also. The Keane State Cheerleaders came to my pumpkin patch this year and
left with 1,200 pumpkins that we donated. I never heard if they broke their
record. Unfortunately, it is a festival that I may never see. We have 3,000
people at our house for Halloween and are franticaly getting ready for
ours......it takes us 2 weeks to set up. I think there is a place
overseas.....Belgium comes to mind, but i may be wrong. They had over 100,000
pumpkins..maybe more. Keanes claim to fame is that they are all carved and
lit at the same time. I believe 50,000 people converge on the small New
Hampshire town that night.
