Re: Andersen 815

Thanks for the comments Glenn,

I decided not to cut the Andersen #815 but to let both plants grow for a
while.
Of about 20 fruit nearly half aborted and 4 slower ones were cut off.
The 9L7 was the fastest on the Andersen vine and faster than the R1 of the
#554.
On current trends it should reach 200 lbs in one weeks time.

I just visited my neighbour's patch which is located in a wayward youth camp
called Youthhaven (Youthhaven had the Australian record in 1996 with two
fruit over 200 kg). Ross has two fruit on a vine about 15' x 15'. This vine
is hemmed in by corn stalks on two sides and pathways on the other two. I
estimated the fruit at 100 and 135 lbs, not a bad effort this early in the
season.
