Ok List whatsssss up with this???
Ok I have a nice Scherber growing that is showing no females...not a
problem..what is ticking me off is this...I'm about to loose my main
tip...She has curled and is now up about 18" and hooking backwards into
a "C" shape.....I figure by tomorrow morning she'll be
toast....broken..capoot...
why does this happen..I used to believe that high fert. and low
moisture led to this happening..you know causing this vine to get
brittle and hook up....So this theory was put to rest after 11" of rain
last month and 3" so far this month...aand absolutely no fertilizer
added to this hill site ...any answers out there....??

I have had that happen and I believe it is from too rapid of growth. The
vines go though a normal growing up and then they lay down when the sun hits
them and they relax. Some plants go into growth spurts that bring this to
the extreme and it never lays down curing back on top of itself. I've also
seen them self-destruct in these growth sperts if something gets in thier way
and it pushes up against it.
