I agree I have cut away all leafs around my big pumpkins. Last year I didn’t and I ha all kinds of scratches. I know you Kathie and you don’t want to haul around a pumpkin in the trunk all year with a bunch of scratches

 Best thing to do if you have a leaf near the pumpkin is just to cull the pumpkin it makes it that much easier to keep as many leaves as you can !!! HE HE Kathie cut any leaf that will make contact with the pumpkin before it becomes a problem !!! We are growing pumpkins not leaves !!! Take care my friend !! GROW EM BIG !!!!!..
