Kathie cut any leaf that will make contact with the pumpkin before it
becomes a problem !!
Kev,
Last night I cut the leaf in question BUT over David's protests I left
the second leaf that touches the pumpkin. Now I wonder whether it should
also go. I like it since Punkie grows with its butt exposed to the
back-fence neighbors, and this leaf covers its most unseemly parts. The
CYA leaf, so to speak. But maybe it should go too. Its only point of
contact with the fruit is leaf to blossom end - no stalk contact, in
other words. Does it stay, or do I show it the door?
Kathie
