Help!!! Stalk split!!!
This morning while lifting my pumpkin Annette I accidentally split her
stalk... not broken right off but there's a crack in it. I immediately put it
back in it's place and poured some bleach/water solution over it, but I'm
wondering if I should cut her off. Hard to do!!! I had cut off all the other
fruit!!!
This morning I pollenated a new flower. Annette is into her 16th day. My
question: should I sacrifice Annette and start a new one? Do you think that
the vine having been damaged will be very fragile when she starts pushing up
against it as she grows?
Need the advice of some weathered pumpkin growers... thanks in advance!!!
