Ron, Wayne from W. Ky. here....OTT is the addition of three
measurements...1. Circ., all the way around the biggest part of the fruit, parallel with the
ground. 2. FTB...(Front to Back) Start at the ground next to the stem, go
straight over the top to the blossom end and end at the ground next to the
blossom end. 3. STS (Side to side) Middle of fruit, start at the ground and go
over the top to the ground at the other side. Add all 3 measurments together
(total inches) and look it up on the chart. Charts are available from several
locations. I think backyardgardener.com gives this tutorial with pics. I think
GVGO. something org or ca, I cant remember has one for melons. Hope this

PS Digging holes at ends or sides of the melon, will not make it weigh
more...LOL
