I'm not an expert by far, but I am willing to provide an opinion through
education. To address your questions:

I would still pollinate on a damage vine because you have no idea what
will
happen to the rest of fruit or vines as they grow. The key thing is to
take measurements of all your fruit and then decide which one will be 
the final product per your daily growth data. Who knows, the one on 
the broken vine might be your best performer and we all know
.....growing
large pumpkins is truly based on LUCK.

Bury all the vines, but don't forget about vine stress when your pumpkin
is
growing.
