I have a female flower that has been open for about three days?(we just
had a newborn so my days are mixed up)Anyway, it started to close up and
I still had no male flowers blooming, but some close. I took one of the
almost opened flowers and opened it up to pollinate the female before she
died. I highly doubt that the male flower even had any pollen to give,
but I would like to know from some of you experienced pumpkin growers if
that is true. Keep in mind that this is my first time I have ever tried
growing giant pumpkins.
