I tried that this year. I had a female that opened half way so I decided
to help her open all the way and then pollinate her. DIDN"T WORK!!! Can't
fool mother nature. These Alantic Giants like it fresh. Just opened that
morning wide opened and inviting both male and female. Seems that they are
only good for 24 hrs. Maybe less.....Brock
