Leaf Problems

To Vickie Brock, Shellie/ Mick Cramer, and all concerned,

Hello,
Today is the third day without fertilizer and no new problems
with the leaves. Temps were in the 90's again today but lower humidity.
I have noticed that most of the damage was confined to vines that I cut
the ends off of except for the best side vine and its been hit hard in
about a 2 ft. area. I have contacted the ag. dept. but nothing yet. At
this point I think it might be a combination of high heat at soil level
as you said with to much fertilizer as the catalyst. The plant in the
corner of the garden witch I don't spend much time with including not
putting much fertilizer on, has had the same rate of growth with no
problems of this kind. This could also point to over fertilizing. If I
find out anything new I'll let you all know. By the way I got my leaf
analysis back from O.S.U. and everything showed in the normal range with
the exception of K. and it was a little high. Dose this point to a
lesser need of fertilizer, this is the first time I have ever had one of
these done.

P.S. As I was ready to send this out my wife informed
me there was another e-mail concerning squash bugs causing this, Thanks
I will check for this. Guess I should read them all before responding.

  Good Luck to All.
