I cant help you to much Chris, but I can say they do pollinate..
I had one open this morning, get this, with seeds on the outside in a
mix with the big globs of lobes where the female flower is supposed to
be.. I had bees in there, when I discovered it, so they must think it is
okay.. This is the only female I let go, without hand pollinating , and
it will be culled soon, but i thought is was interesting how the guts of
the pumpkin were on the outside ofthe plant..
