Malformed lobes in female blooms

I packaged this question earlier with a response to another question
but still have not seen it addressed. Some of the lobes in many of the
female flowers my plants have produce are mishaped and not clearly
defined. So that it appears that some of the flowers have 4 1/2 or 5
1/2 lobes some are just sort of big blobs. So far it hasn't seemed to
affect pollination and the fruit beneath those flowers are starting to
grow. My question is, does this have any affect on the resulting fruit?
Is this just a normal variation or could it be caused by something in or
missing from the soil or a genetic trait? Some of these lobes although
not clearly defined are huge.
