well, i really don't know if your plants are inferior, but, sun from
2-8:30 isn't nearly enough. my patch has full sun by about a 6:45 am,
until about 7:00 pm. That much i can say is a participant in your
problem. Perhaps your watering too much. It all depends on your type
of soil. where i live my soil is pretty sandy, so i water frequently.
if your soil is more on the clay side, you don't have to water as much.
perhaps there are other intricacies that some of the more experienced
growers can share with you. hope this helps. good luck
