Correct.

OK, understand this is MY understanding. I am no biologist so this is my lay
explanation. During the day the plant is doing a balancing act between
leaf/vine production and nutrient take-up and sending energy to existing
leaves/vines to sustain them. At night, when darkness means the plant needs
less energy to support the leaves/vines, the "excess" energy goes to the
fruit. If, during the day, the plant doesn't get enough sun or nutrients the
fruit pays the price.

An AG is a hybrid so there really would be no such thing as "a pure strain",
at least in how I understand your question.
