Growth Rates

I was so surprised that my pumpkins are growing at about 2 or 3 inches a day,
will they continue to grow this fast, or will they slow down some?  Because at
this rate I'm headed towards pumpkins that are gonna break a 1000.  Any input
would be good.  Thanks.
