Tendencies to split

I watered w/miracle grow last night and this morning I have a squash split
wide open. The split is 2 inches off the blossom end and perpendicular to the
way the ribs will eventually run...(kinda like a golfball hit once by me).The
fruit was honeydue sized .I did not water excessively(or so I
think/thought).Temperatures are warm here with high humidity..low 90's this
afternoon. I never had a fruit split...didn't expect this..at least not
this early and w/such little watering last night.I am quite concerned. Is this
something I can expect on all of the fruit or more likely a fluke...does this
sound like a problem plant? What can I do to avoid this in the future? This
was a side vine fruit on the left side of the plant...have 5 other fruits set
on side vines on the opposite side -no problems with them (yet)....this may
be a strong candidate for shock absorber pumpkins........HELP ME
PLEASE.....GlennA
