George, this happened one time last year, we have a LOT of plastic tenting,
and in 5 minutes, can put up a tent over the main pumpkin plants so they
don't get flooded. If you can get some cheaply, it might be worth it. Also, I
always plant in raised hills which are double dug with a sand base (about 3
feet down), to make sure all the excess water drains away.
