terminating main vines

I've heard that if you have pumpkins growing on the plant that you want
to terminate only one vine per day so that the extra energy doesn't
cause you to blow your punkies. That's what I'm doing now that I've
finally got a real fast growing pumpkin on my Mombert 940 plant.
