Don't give up. Start some new seeds. You may not break a record. But, you can
still grow them to several hundred pounds. Especially in Ca. where you do not
have to worry about forst as early as many of us.

Sometimes we focus too much on the weighoffs and growing a record breaker. A
lot of the fun is just growing them and then showing them off on the front
porch.

Whatever you do, don't quit now, the season has just begun.
