Vince is the fable-fabricator. Perhaps he can spin us a yarn about the
race in which each of the guys out in front went down one by one until
no one was left except the guy who started 15 minutes after everyone
else.
If what I've read in YOUR VERY POSTS is true, a punkin gaining weight
the way an AG can do could come from behind and run away with the race
for that year. Remember, we have several races going on here: 1. Set a
new world record, state record, city record, etc. 2. Win at Half Moon
Bay, Elk Grove, Salinas, etc. 3. Set a new personal best.
You have a good shot at winning two of the three.
I never thought I would be giving advice to you, young man. I'm off my
rocker. Don't you settle down in yours.
Now if you'll excuse me ... Raybie suffered a stem split last evening
and I'm trekking over there now to apply a sulfur poultice and a sip of
sassafras. (And THAT's what can happen, not just to me but to those CA
growers who are way out in front.)
