I always put the pointed side down and never have had any problems. Some growers are putting the seed on its side and claiming that it helps to shell the seed cover. I'll stick with my method. Make sure the whole seed is 1" under soil.

Hi List,
I have a question about seeds.  Which way do you put them in the ground?  I put mine "pointy" side down.  Right?  Wrong?  It's been 7 days, so I dug one up and looked at it.  There was a shoot coming out of the "pointy" side.  I put it back the way it was, but now don't know if they've been planted wrong.  If so, what should I do?
