I add milk to the composter and that gives it a chance to totally brake down before I ever think of adding it to the patch. Theory is that Milk has incredible amounts of vitamins and essential elements along with calcium etc. The only reason I do this is due to milk goes bad in my house all the time since I rarely eat at home. I don't think it hurts anything in the composter and may add some added good things to the compost but WOULD NEVER ADD IT DIRECTLY TO THE PLANT it will sour everything and cause disease for sure... I love to hear questions like this because as we have seen many people have tried this and you can use there knowledge from trial and error so you don't have to try it yourself and make mistakes ... thanks everyone and keep up the great questions !!!!! Take care all and have a wonderful season !!!
