Roots, where are they?
List,
I started over with a whole new patch this year, barely better than last
year's, soilwise. I disked, dug pits, rototilled, then planted. But the
soil definitely needs more tilling.
How close to the plants dare I go? I love spading, since it goes deeper
than the big machines [and I have big morning glory troubles], but I
worry about getting too close to the roots. Who can advise me?
