Re: A little help ....Please..Part two

Hi Toby;
       Yes, all three main vines are on one plant. I now have one pumpkin on
each vine, not counting the two I cut off. I have been cutting males off the
evening before it looks like they will open, and putting the pollen in a
container in the freezer. I have done 5 now. I am going to bury my vines this
weekend only about half way up the diameter of the vine and cover the rest with
compost. This coming week will be the 9th week mark, so I will be switching
to a fertilizer with a higher center number.
        I have a number of secondary vines off my mains, the longest one
right now is about 6 feet. I will stop them at 12 feet max, and not allow any
pumpkins on any of them. Any vines off the secondaries, I will pinch off at the
start.
         That pretty much brings it up to date.........how are your babies
doing ???
          I would like to throw another question out to you any one else who
has a thought. I am concerned with trying to keep a big pumpkin round. I
guess almost everyone is......any thoughts on the matter.
                 Thanks again...................................
     Tony C.
