Re: Vine Size

Stewart,
     Although Bernard is well versed in the arts of giant vegetable growing,
and I for one follow a lot of his theories about other vegetables, he is not
an authority on growing giant pumpkins.  16 X 8 feet may produce a nice sized
pumpkin, but unless I saw it with my own eyes I could not see a plant any
smaller than 25 X 25, maybe 22 X 22, growing anything that would challenge
the big guns of the 900+ pound club.  Personally I let mine fill out their
whole 40 X 30 feet sites.
