Greetings from Prince Edward County home of Bill Greer's 1006

Greetings to everyone in pumpkinland
I just got off the phone from talking to Bill, (he is my buddy and my
neighbour but he ain't interneticized yet)
Vicki Brock's question.....Bill said his 1006 plant filled out an area
of approximately 30 x 30 (900 sq. ft.)
Al Eaton.....Bill's best plant so far is his 1006. We were over there
to play cards last night and we had a tour of the patch. Like you
mentioned the vines are high off the stump and thicken up as they move
away....the leaves are good and green..I tried a couple of his seeds but
didn't get germination.......My best plant so far is your 941 but Bill's
plants seem to be far ahead of mine......my soil is very sandy and this
is the first year that I have worked it up.....I think I need a couple
more years of adding cowsh.t.
Cucumber Beetles are making their first appearance and the dust is going
on.
Jim Ives (Bill's ukelele player)
