Four of my pumpkin plant show the start of a female blossom. This is
three to four weeks earlier then ever before. All potential blossoms are
7-8 feet out on the main vine. The plants are:
774 Baird -- Vine split (3-4 inches) Probably will affect the pumpkin
growth.
884 x 722 -- Plant in good shape. Great plant growth the last couple of
days.
835 x 629 -- Plant in good shape
652 Baird -- Plant in good shape. Great plant growth the last couple of
days. The main vine is now 100 inches (8.3 feet) and my
longest.
Tonight storms are in the area with potential of high wind and hail. My
fingers are crossed. Been keeping the beetles off with Sevin.
