About a week ago, a giant wave of cucumber beetles came through and I've been
successfully fighting them off with Sevin dust. I have been dusting only the
leaves and I figured the plants would be quite safe from all intruders.
I was wrong, because last night I discovered these ugly looking squash bugs
running wild up and down the main vine area, seemingly unaffected by the Sevin
dust. Maybe they were going to get sick and die, but they sure weren't acting
like it. I blasted them with some liquid Sevin and they were gone today. I'll
going to stick with the liquid Sevin from now on, just to be safe.
