I am a jolly postal worker, so do not fear dear Judy!! I am one of the
ones who fear for my life daily, not doing the trigger pulling..
My pumpkins got big time hair cuts today, and are about 5 pounds
lighter, because I had to trim back alot of secondary vines that
intermingled with the other plant.. I did this because of the tendancy
to have secondaries grow straight up inthe air, especially where I had
no ability to get to, and snap off because they couldnt get down from
there upward trend. The weight of the vines eventually will snap the
whole thing off, and possibly cause big time trouble.. I did bury all
the trimmed vines, so I should be okay..
Is anyone having slug problems? How do you remedy this? With the
extreme wet conditions we are having, The slugs are out in force. DO
they do damage to the plant?
