Re: Milking Pumpkins

Okay all you pumpkin people out there this is the third time I've asked if anyone knew anything
about milking pumpkins.   SO, what about it???????   PLEASE...my sister-in-law nags me every
day asking if anyone knows how to milk a pumpkin or what it means.  Let me know

This has been asked and answered about three times over  the last few 
months, but one more time should not hurt.  What you may be talking 
about is the slitting of the vine just  above the pumpkin and feeding 
it milk through a wick and a bowl.  This is looked at by some 
groweres as cheating and is a pretty good way to kill your vine if 
your don't do it exactly right.  Hope that answers your question.  
Maybe some of the more experienced groweres can help.
