Hey guy's, I need a little advice from the experts. I've been bouncing
things off LIpumpkin ( Glenn ) this whole season and am sure he's getting
tired of answering all the newbie questions. He's been very patient with me,
although we've developed a real Abbott and Costello relationship (everytime
he answers a question, I think he wants to hit me over the head as
punctuation)
I have a 727 Greer, 529.2 Buntrock and a 506 Shapiro that were germinated
4/23 and put outside on 5/4. the Greer and Buntrock are about 6' long and
growing nicely. The 506 Shapiro is about 10' long with 5', 4' and 2 1/2'
secondaries. My question is this...the first 5' secondary has a pumpkin
developing on the end....do I keep it or pick it? Should I let it grow and
see how it does?
As this is my first year, I have no personel best to beat (except Glenn's)
and would hate to take off a pumpkin that had a chance of making a wiegh-off,
but will pick it on advice from the more experienced (Glenn's advice would be
suspect at this point of the season) Let me know what you
think............Russ Long Island, New York
