If you've got a second, I'm looking for an opinion on my soil test. Results are
as follows in PPM, VH-Very High, H-High ,M-Medium, L-Low
My patch is almost exactly 1000 sq. ft. and I will be growing two plants, one in
700 sq. ft. and the pollinator in 300 sq. ft.
pH Will pH come down with additional manure?
7.3
Organic matter ? Thinking of adding 2 pickup truck loads of
4.9H composted horse manure. What do you think?
Phosphorus
126VH
Potassium
458H
Magnesium
244M
Calcium Will adding Calcium Nitrate raise Ca as well as N?
22477
Sodium
30VL
Nitrogen A&L lab recommends adding 1.9 lb/1000 sq. ft.
9L How much of what do I add? Calcium Nitrate?
Sulfur A&L lab recommends adding 0.6 lb/1000 sq. ft.
4L ? doesn't seem like much. What kind?
Zinc
64VH
Manganese
8M
Iron Add ironite? and how much or . . .
13M
Copper
5.5VH
Boron
3.1VH
CEC A bit low? Will come up with added manure?
15.7%
Percent Cation Saturation
%K = 7.5 %Mg = 12.8 %Ca = 78.9 These numbers are pretty
good, I gather. Agree? Will they change with other additions that I make?
In general, I feel pretty good about all this, particularly since the deficiencies
should be fairly easy to correct, I think. I'm especially curious about what to
add (and quantities) to get my Nitrogen and Iron up. I'm not sure about my
Calcium levels. When I look at Chris Anderson's Bionic Man levels from a few
years ago, I start wondering about my Calcium and other levels. What do you
think?
