Mike, I've said for a long time that I see an upper limit in the 1500 lb
range. If you want to get past it the good growers are going have to start
including colchicine treatments. With it I get 300 lbs from 150 lb seed.
You need to treat the seeds in solution for 48-60 hrs for maximum results.
What I do is posted in the archives, I think. With my method you can still
carry on the breeding programs. You only change the pheotypic displays. I
think you'll get an easy 50% wt increase.
